Rumor has it iOS 11, the upcoming update to Apple's iPhone and iPad software, will include a feature that notifies a user when someone screenshots his/her text messages.
However, Business Insider recently debunked the rumor, tracing it back to a vlogger named Jay Way who made the unsubstantiated claim in December 2016. Jay explains in a series of tweets that he and his team merely brought the idea to Apple engineers, and there's no evidence that Apple will implement the idea.
