I went to New York City for the first time in the 20 years I have been breathing on this earth.  I have no idea what took me so long to visit this amazing city!!  My dad’s from Chicago, so I have been brainwashed to love Chi-town and hate on every Yankee I see.  However, once I stepped foot into the city, I fell in love!   Let me just give you a little recap of my interesting family vacation.

We had 6 people crammed in a mini van ready to drive from Florida to NYC in a span of 2 days.  After an unplanned visit to Washington D.C. and a doctor (because I was sick) we finally made it into the city at 1 A.M.  All of us were exhausted and all we wanted was sleep, so we head to our rented condo and told the guy we were staying in the pent house.  He lets us in the room and there was no furniture!  Since all of us were so delirious we could not stop laughing.  My mom called the man we rented the place from and he told us we were in the wrong building!  Some random bellhop let us in an empty penthouse suite!  Luckily we got everything straightened out and the view from our place was awesome!

During our 3 day stay in NYC we saw the Statue of Liberty, 911 Memorial, Empire State Building, Central Park, a Broadway show and Time Square.  We got a picture with the naked cowboy and found a huge cardboard stand-up of the M&M Mrs. Brown.

The last day we were in NYC we decided to wake up early and head down to the Rockefeller Center and watch the TODAY show.  It happened to be my dad’s birthday so we made him a sign.  My dad and I both got on TV and my cousin (who flew in the 2nd day we were there) got a picture with Channing Tatum!!

After taking the subway uptown, downtown, all around town we were ready to drive to upstate New York and relax on Rushford Lake.

If that vacation wasn’t the best thing ever….I leave for Puerto Rico TODAY!!!
